A Day in the Life of our Electricians
Over the last few weeks, and as part of their training, some of our head office-based team members shadowed our qualified electricians onsite to help them better understand the procedures involved in our EICR Electrical Testing Contracts. The experience provided the team with valuable insights into the procedures and a clearer understanding of safety compliance. This will help the administrative team when advising residents on the protocols involved during visits and of the importance of industry regulations

Divisional Manager Celebrates 10 Years
Celebrating 10 Years at NES
“Having been with Niblock Electrical since inception, I have overseen and been part of much positive change within the business, including growth of the team, Head Office relocation, employee development/progression and the organic growth of the business. However, the one constant that has always remained throughout the last ten years is our ethos of delivering quality and value. This is proven through our long-standing relationships with Clients.
I am personally proud to have grown with Niblock Electrical Services. I enjoy learning and strive for personal development as much as possible. I have gained a wealth of experience working on many various projects/contracts. Working closely with Kevin and Martin, the Directors of Niblock, I have developed my commercial knowledge and understanding. I am passionate about the recruitment and development of the next generation of electrical engineers and we now take on two apprentices a year on our training scheme.
With the progression of new technologies and carbon reduction net zero targets, we have branched into different sectors such as Solar PV, Electric Heating, EV Charging and smart home automation. I am excited about the future of the industry and look forward to helping take Niblock Electrical Services there in the future.”

NES Electrical Safety Awareness Week
🌟 Introducing NES Electrical Safety Awareness Week! 🌟
Â
As part of our continued commitment to safety and social value work in local communities, we are proud to launch a new annual campaign focused on electrical safety and reinforcing to residents the importance of maintaining and testing domestic smoke, heat and carbon alarms systems. We cover all areas from installation, commissioning, testing and certification.Â
Â
During NES Electrical Safety Awareness Week 2023, we hosted a series of tool box talks with all our engineers across the course of the week. The talks covered how our engineers can better communicate to residents the importance of regularly testing the life saving equipment within their properties as they provide vital early warnings in case of a fire.Â

ECA Maidstone & East Kent Annual Dinner Dance
The NES team were delighted to attend the ECA Maidstone & East Kent Annual Dinner Dance on Saturday 4th November to help raise money for Dementia UK and The Electrical Industries Charity. Stuart Gibson TMIET, in his role of Vice Chairman, supported the current Chairman and team by helping with the higher and lower, raffle and Charity auction to ensure the event was a great success, raising a significant amount of money for two very important Charities.
Mental Health Awareness Training
Today is World Mental Health Day!Â
Â
To better understand what we as a business can do to improve our policies surrounding mental health, we took part in an interactive and engaging Mental Health Training Session hosted by Mates in Mind Charity and Peter Kelly this morning focusing on mental health in the Construction Industry in the ‘eye of the storm’ – post covid pandemic and during the cost of living crisis.
Discussions focused on how to make our strategies preventative rather than simply reactive and what we can do to further break down the stigma surrounding poor mental health. We also discussed how psychosocial risk factors are directly related to the frequency of accidents in the workplace and the importance of managing these to improve health and safety on Construction Sites.
Questions included:
🌟 How can we create a healthy workplace?
🌟 How can we control psychological risks at work?
🌟 How can we shift the emphasis to encourage men to talk about their mental health?
🌟 How can we better express ourselves and show compassion in response to a colleague conversing about their mental health?
Â
A clear message we took away from the session: instead of simply supporting poor mental health and wellbeing, we need to optimise mental health and well being. #Thriving and not just #surviving.
New Employee
We were delighted to recently welcome Niamh to the NES team!
