Worplesdon Primary School
This transformative project focused on enhancing the school’s infrastructure to provide improved safety, efficiency, and comfort for students and staff. Key upgrades included lighting enhancements, ceiling replacements, school hall renovations, and sound/draft proofing, all designed to modernise the learning environment.
Our works included
Ceiling Upgrades
- Six classrooms received new grid ceilings, improving acoustics and visual appeal.
- Two corridors were upgraded with plasterboard and grid ceiling replacements for added durability.
- Entrance lobby and staffroom received new grid ceilings, creating a more welcoming atmosphere.
To enhance energy efficiency and adaptability, the school underwent a comprehensive lighting upgrade featuring:
- LED Dali dimmable lighting throughout all indoor and outdoor spaces (Manufacturer – Ovia).
- Advanced lighting controls, including dimmer switches and PIR sensors.
School Hall Renovations:
- Removal of Asbestos Insulating Board (AIB) from the ceiling space, eliminating hazardous materials and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Installation of a high-impact ceiling.
Redecoration & Sound/Draft Proofing:
- Doors were draft-proofed to improve insulation and energy efficiency.
- Soundproofing between classrooms reduced noise disruptions, fostering a better learning atmosphere.
All renovations were carefully phased to take place during school holidays, ensuring zero impact on day-to-day learning while delivering essential improvements.
