Lydd Primary School
A School summer holiday project for East Sussex County Council under the “Cluster Framework” at Lydd Primary School.
Lydd Primary School was built in 1895 and is situated next to The Rype in the small historic town of Lydd on the Romney Marsh. It consists of a large single storey detached building which has been extended and is set inside secure gated grasslands and hard standing play areas.
Our works included
- Isolation and removal of existing lighting, wiring and containment
- Isolation and removal of all services fixed to ceilings (fire alarm, data cabling, water services) whilst supporting in situ
- Removal of existing asbestos boarding throughout the entire school
- Independent design of new lighting to meet required lux levels
- Independent design of emergency lighting to meet BS 5266-8:2004
- Re-configuration of existing fire alarm
- Re-configuration of school media system
- Installation of new communal and emergency LED lighting
- Partial re-wire for lighting circuits
- Partial new containment
- New grid switches
- Test existing fuse boards
- New plasterboard ceilings
- Decorate new ceilings
- Re-fix and test existing services
